Christmas Insanity...I mean FUN!

Let it begin, Let it begin, Let it begin!  Silas has been on the count down since before Thanksgiving...and so has Biggi...me: "Who do you want to sit next to at Thanksgiving, Biggi?" Biggs : "Thanksgiving?  Then we get a Christmas Tree in our house!!!!!"...  Lucy is clueless, of course, but enjoying the constant entertainment.  Norine is contemplative and a bit more bouncy than usual (is that possible?).  Of course, it has nothing to do with all of the Christmas candies we've made and consumed on a daily basis.  Our elf on the shelf, Ned, and his trusty side kick Rufus (a dog/reindeer...of course our elf has a pet) who have been remembering to move about the house nightly...well, after a rocky forgetful start, anyway...and we discovered that if they fall to the floor, you can pick them up with kitchen tongs without them losing their magic.  Tonight, Ned and Rufus had the job of taking the kiddos letters to Santa.  A few highlights:  Norine had a pair of flip flops, some books and a craft project on her list (no problem)...Silas had 3 different remote controlled vehicles, an electric guitar (dream on!), a video camera (dream on!), and an actual volcano (HA!) on his list...Biggi wanted a baby doll (already taken care of), but when I asked her if she'd been good, she turned and ran off! Lucy had no direct input, but Biggs swears that she wants a baby doll, too (no doubt a back up for if Biggs doesn't get one of her own).  Norine and Silas and I made a list of things we wanted to do this Christmas...among the myriad sweets, decorating, movie watching, and book reading, I almost cried (except those of you who know me know that I don't actually do that for some reason) when Norine and Silas agreed that the main thing they needed to do this Christmas was to teach Biggi about Baby Jesus.  Well played, kiddos, well played.
