A Week with Lucy

Time flies when you're...OK...maybe time just plain flies...can't believe it's been so long since I last posted something!  Will try to catch up later, but for now...will start with the current...
   We just finished up our first week ever with Lucy!  Lucinda Nell Moore was born last Wednesday, June 20 at 9:08am by scheduled c-section (I know...not like me at all...definitely not a planner...but for me this is the much preferred way to give birth).  She weighed in at 7lbs 13oz and was 20 inches long.  By the time we left the hospital she was down to 7lbs 5oz...typical...must dry out some.  Yesterday we went for her one week checkup with Dr. Setia...he weighed her twice...7lbs 15oz...yep...gained 10oz in 4 days...thought we were spending quite a lot of time at the buffet.  OK, OK....pictures coming!

When we told Biggi that this was "Sammich" (the name she
had given Lucy months ago) she quickly informed us that
"that's not a sammich...that's a baby."

This morning Biggi decided she really liked Lucy and that
Lucy was HER baby...would not let Norine and Silas near her.

All that growing wears a girl out!
